Gartner Magic Quadrant for Data Science and Machine Learning Platforms

Norwegian Cognitive Center is in close partnership with IBM and we use IBM Watson in our projects. Last week Gartner released the Magic Quadrant for Data Science and Machine learning Platforms, and IBM been recognized as a Leader in the space. Watson Studio on IBM Cloud Pak for Data, a modular, open and extensible platform for data and AI that combines a broad set of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive capabilities.

Organizations seeking to more efficiently run and manage AI models, simplify their AI lifecycle management, and empower their data scientists with technology that can help optimize their data-driven decision-making.

IBM Watson Studio has three main strengths — multi-persona support, composite AI vision, and comprehensive attention to responsible AI and governance. Together, these features allow for organizations to increase workflow efficiency. Garter mentions that “IBM Watson Studio offers a visual workflow interface or ‘graphic canvas,’ as well as a choice of notebooks, thus enabling data engineers, expert data scientist and citizens data scientists to work together on the same project.” Additionally, it makes it easy to share and use models amongst those users with an embedded catalog that’s used for sharing and re-use of (meta)data and models. By combining multiple AI techniques such as AutoAI and visualization to more deeply interpret data and efficiently solve a wider range of business problems, IBM Watson Studio ensures faster, more secure data governance. As a result, users can make better business decisions with their data and increase their ROI by upwards of 480%, all while ensuring they are meeting regulatory compliance standards.
