AI Learn: Security and safety within AI

Using BowTie for better understanding risk in combination with a data driven approach as part of a potential AI roadmap.

In this event, Coen van Gulijk has been invited as special guest speaking about risk management, and digitalization of safety management with BowTies with a special focus on linking engineering systems with human tasks. He will address the basic framework for the BowTie for operational safety management, and explain two published methods for utilizing digital information to populate the BowTie with operational data and discuss the introduction of AI-functionality into data processes and in what way that complicates safety management. Immediately following the presentation there will be some time for questions.

About Coen van Gulijk
Coen is a senior researcher at TNO Healthy Living, a visiting professor at the University of Huddersfield and visiting researcher at the Delft University of Technology. Coen van Gulijk works on the IT transformation of Safety Management Systems and Risk Analysis. The objective is to provide industries with modern IT business systems to support risk-based decision making and asset management, to deliver cost reductions, performance enhancements and optimisation for industry.
